Open Toed Boot - I'm very confused....

Ok, I don't get this trend. Fall/Winter is all about the boot - you want to know why? Because in most parts of this country it's COLD, RAINY and SNOWY!! HELLO!? I mean.... really... This whole trend defeats the purpose of a boot. Not to mention, I really think an open toe ankle boot is unflattering. Anyone agree with me? Examples here:

    I have never understood the open toe boot! I have always thought it to be one of the most prime examples never to become a fashion sacrifice!

    AMEN!! Thank you..... I can't decide what is worse, the open-toed boot or the gladiator sandal?

    I happen to love the open toed boot... I have not one yet! But soon I hope to get a pair of suede purple ones that are half boots...for my leggings. Cuz everyone knows a girl with big legs look great in leggings- so I got myself a pair of pleather ones!- I'm gonna send Naarski a pic when I do...cus I'm sure she will be my #1 fan b/c of it! And then secretly be jealous!
